Progress Update on Planet Explorers Alpha version 0.3
It looks like we won't be able to release the alpha version 0.3 until early September, there are still a bunch of tech issues regarding LOD and multiplayer. Currently we're aiming for the weekend of September 7th. Unless something really screws up, we should be able to hit that date with all of our objectives. Since we don't really want leave you in the dark, here's a sneak peak at what we're working on for this version.
First, some screens from the Creations System. In the Creations System, the player can currently make any weapon shape he wants, there are limits on weapon types due to animation rigging, but there are still lots of options. We'll try to get gun making into the editor by 0.3.

Anyway, please look forward to 0.3, we're release more screens as we get closer to its launch date.

Some screens from alpha 0.3. We hit a few memory bugs that causes crashes, but otherwise all systems are getting greener, we're still on track to come out sometimes in the next several days. The lighting and the terrain texture distribution have been really improved.
